In Arras and the surrounding area of our bed and breakfast Au Carré Saint-Eloi and the Mamarras gîte, here are a few places, remarkable sites, events or monuments that we particularly appreciate and that we warmly recommend during your visit to our bed and breakfast.

The Main Square Festival, with its concerts and stars at the Citadelle of Arras

The Arras Christmas Market, on the Grand Place, renowned as the finest north of Paris

When rue Saint Aubert (Arras' main shopping street, opposite our B&B Au Carré Saint-Eloi) becomes pedestrianised again (but it's rare)

Place Victor-Hugo in Arras for its architecture, its flower market (1st May) and its garage sale in September, just a stone's throw from our establishment.

Fresh chips from the "baraque à frites du beffroi" (boulevard Carnot): we'll be happy to fetch you some if you like!

Eat an andouillette d'Arras on the Place des Héros during the andouillette festival (end of August)

Go for a walk in the Citadelle woods, with its preserved wildlife and magnificent setting, less than 10 minutes from our B&B

Free admission to the permanent exhibitions at Louvre-Lens

Saint Gaston's Day at the museum: the "Musée des Beaux-Arts" d'Arras for children (first Sunday in February)

"When you don't have the use of your legs, it's precious to have a friend with four of them". Au Carré Saint-Eloi welcomes assistance dogs.

Ma Citadine: free shuttle bus every 10 minutes in the centre of Arras, with two routes. The nearest stop to our guesthouse is "Théâtre" or "Hauts de Saint-Aubert" on Citadine no. 2.
