Zanzibar001: zeer goed

Nathasha170: Just Great
Wonderful reception, pretty house, great room in the heart of Arras. Nearby train and bus station, within walking distance. Arras is such a lovely city, with so much to visit and see. There is also a garden at the house which is nice.

Anne L.: Ideal place to stay in Arras
I stayed here for one night with my husband. I wanted somewhere with parking - on street was cheap enough, or we could have paid for private parking at the property.
The host was helpful. I telephoned as we were due to arrive a little early. I am nervous when telephoning a French person, as it can be difficult to understand each other but Claire spoke good English (much better than my French!). We checked in and chatted with Claire for a while before heading out into Arras for dinner.
Our room was large - with a spacious bathroom. We were the only guests so it was very quiet. We returned to the b&b quite late after finding some good bars - and slept very well.
The next morning Claire returned to prepare our breakfast. We had the traditional croissants, bread, fabulous homemade jam, yogurts etc. All very good indeed and set us up nicely for the day of driving to our next destination.
I would stay here again on our next visit to Arras - good location, friendly host and a reasonable price.

Claire was a friendly and welcoming host. She had arranged to meet us at the property but we were late arriving so she gave us the code to access the house and came to see us when she finished work. She provided a good breakfast on the three mornings we were staying and was very helpful with information about Arras and the surrounding area. The house is easily accessible from the station and there is parking outside. It is situated in an attractive square off a main road, but there is little noise. It was clean, comfortable and roomy with an attractive, secluded garden. There are two double rooms with en suite, and a single room upstairs with a toilet. However, with three couples, the upstairs is too small to sleep two, which was the only downside. We were in Arras to visit certain World War One cemeteries and the town is a perfect central location for this. It is a beautiful town with some great bars, restaurants and shops, all within walking distance of the house.

Stuatm: Home from Home
We stayed here 18 months ago and it was an equally delightful second stay at Claire's boutique B&B. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the 'Places' and all the bars, restaurants and shops in the lovely city of Arras, probaby our favourite in northern France. The Carre is so well appointed, nice modern living in an historic building with a lovely garden and so reasonoably priced. Claire provides an excellent breakfast and there are all the facilities you need and there's the bonus of peace and quiet. We'll be back, again.

Claire was an excellent hostess who provided helpful local info and made us feel very welcome. She was flexible on the check-in when we arrived late, and provided a simple but tasty breakfast of coffee, baguette and homemade jams. The room was as described and parking was available in front of the flat. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Bonsoir
Mon séjour dans votre chambre a été très agréable. Votre accueil est très sympa, la chambre est parfaitement équipée, le petit plus la maison est parfaitement adaptée aux personnes en situation de handicap. Bref ne changez rien.
Cordialement, Martine

Our stay with Claire in arras was the first time that we had used airbnb and it was fantastic. Claire replied really quickly to our responses and questions and everything seemed very safe and secure using the airbnb website for payment etc. Claire was there and very welcoming when we arrived and as it was Sunday we were able to find a parking place right near the house. The flat exceeded our expectations , with 2 lovely en-suite bedrooms, a spacious breakfast area and even a kitchen had we wanted to do our own cooking. Claire and her husband made sure that we had a lovely breakfast with breads, preserves and great coffee. Embarrassed about my inability to speak French Claire generously and fluently spoke to us in English. In the evening we ate at a local Pasta and Pizza restaurant recommended by Claire and we had an excellent meal. On departure Claire was very relaxed about checking out which allowed us to leave our bags whilst we explored the wonderful town of Arras. A real bonus was trying pumpkin jam made by Claire's mother - amazing and definitely something that I have never seen in the shops in England. We would happily recommend Claire's apartment and Arras itself. Hopefully we will be able to visit again one day.
